Rocking Horse Studio Presents Concert at the Barnstead Music Hall

04 August 2009 - Rocking Horse Studio will present a concert at the Barnstead Music Hall on August 15, 2009, that will feature three of the studio’s artists: Christian Cuff, Joe Mazzari, and Brooks Young. The show begins at 8:00 PM.

This is the first time Rocking Horse Studio, a premier recording studio located in Pittsfield, New Hampshire, is presenting a concert. “We’re pleased to offer our artists an opportunity to perform at such a wonderful venue so close to the studio,” states Brian Coombes, president of Rocking Horse. “We’re hoping this is the first of many shows we present at the Barnstead Music Hall.”

The three artists who are performing at the August 15th show are all established regional artists and all have all recorded at Rocking Horse Studio. Singer/songwriter Christian Cuff from Maine, will open the show with a set of his acoustic-based material, which features Cuff on guitar and vocals, backed by a cellist and bassist. Cuff and his band have toured throughout the world regularly over the past three years, most recently completing a European tour in April. Cuff’s debut disc, Silo, was released in March 2008.

Following Christian Cuff, Veteran musician Joe Mazzari will bring his high energy performance to the Barnstead stage. Mazzari has performed with legendary New York Dolls guitarist Johnny Thunders and has fronted popular Boston bands Two Saints and the Daughters. He and his band have performed throughout Europe and along the eastern United States. Mazzari’s new solo album will be released later in 2009.

Concord’s favorite singer/guitarist, Brooks Young, closes the night with a set of his blues-based pop. Young is a Fender-endorsed artist who has shared the stage with such legends as B.B. King, Room Full of Blues, and Luther “Guitar” Johnson. His most recent album, Back on the Ground, has received radio airplay on stations throughout the country. Young and his band tour regularly throughout the region.

Members of the Rocking Horse team, including Brian Coombes, Michelle Coombes, and Dave Pierog, will all make guest appearances throughout the night, while Rocking Horse bassist Joey Pierog will be performing with Christian Cuff and Brooks Young.
