Rocking Horse Studio was designed from the ground up by renowned acoustician Michael Blackmer. The rooms are large, comfortable, and inviting, perfect for inspiring magical performances. Drums, piano, strings, and horns sound amazing in our large room, while quieter instruments and voices come to life in our more intimate acoustic spaces. (See Photos)

The studio features an Equi-tech Balanced Power system and hospital-grade isolated ground electric cabling, providing clean electricity for a reduced noise floor that is often required in today’s digital recording environment. The audio cabling is all Mogami, ensuring the cleanest possible signal from audio source to recorder. With humidity control for comfort and space to stretch out, our studio environment inspires creativity.

The large live room also doubles as our video soundstage, complete with lighting and greenscreen capabilities. The Editing Loft is our modern video editing suite, which features the best of non-linear editing (NLE) applications.

Country-style Bed & Breakfast accommodations available in our 18th Century farmhouse, so the time you spend with us is relaxing and productive. In the summer, pick strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries on our private farm. As autumn approaches, you can enjoy a break from your session by picking apples from our orchard.
